MAPS SPIN-A-THON 2018!
Date: Sunday, October 7, 2018
Time: 1:00 – 3:00pm
Location: Edward A. Myerberg Center, 3101 Fallstaff Rd, Baltimore, MD 21209 [MAP IT]
There is currently no cure for Parkinson’s and exercise is the #1 recommended treatment! The Maryland Association for Parkinson Disease, Inc. (MAPS) believes Parkinson’s is hard enough to live with and those with Parkinson’s shouldn’t have to pay for exercise. MAPS partners with local fitness centers, like the Myerberg, to provide fitness classes at no cost to those diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.
We will be hosting a fundraiser for MAPS on Sunday, October 7th from 1-3pm. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to continue funding these growing fitness programs throughout Maryland. The event will be a Spin-A-Thon, where riders will raise support, based on how long they ride our stationary spin bikes during the two-hour event. Riders can enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of spinning, led by our trainers, along beautiful virtual scenic routes on the Myerberg’s brand new bikes! The event will include light refreshments, silent auction, award prizes, and more!
We have made it simple to register online as a rider and/or donor. Donors can sponsor riders at $25 per 15 minutes. Please be sure to let us know which rider(s) you’d like to sponsor. Otherwise, we will gladly pair your donation with a rider.
Attendees who are not sponsors or riders may join in on the fun with a suggested donation of $50 at the door.
This event is open to the community and all proceeds go to the Maryland Association for Parkinson’s Support, Inc. (MAPS).
