Social Services at the Myerberg
The Edward A. Myerberg Center provides useful resources and referrals that help older adults live actively and independently in Baltimore. Our social services give important social interaction and access to quality health resources to enhance and enrich the quality of life.
We offer a wide variety of social services, including:
Health Screenings and Services
We provide basic health screenings and referrals, flu and pneumonia vaccinations, nutritional counseling and a low vision clinic for older adults in the community.
Social Work Services
Our full-time, on-site social worker provides mental health counseling, leads community support groups and provides general assistance in navigating government entitlement programs of special benefits to older adults.
Eating Together in Baltimore
This popular program serves over 17,000 hot, nutritious Kosher meals each year to adults 60 and over. Enjoy the congenial setting which often features guest speakers and entertainment.
To help older adults avoid social and physical isolation, monthly Senior Sundays at the Myerberg Center provide interaction where participants share a light meal and enjoy live entertainment and companionship.
