Fight Back Against Parkinson’s!
During this fun hands-on program, you will improve your quality of life through a non-contact boxing based fitness curriculum. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A BOXER TO PARTICIPATE! Rock Steady Boxing gives people with Parkinson’s disease hope by working on agility, speed, muscular endurance, accuracy, balance, hand-eye coordination, footwork and over-all strength. Through the generous support of MAPS (Maryland Association for Parkinson Support), this class is offered at NO COST to anyone diagnosed with a Parkinsonian disorder. All levels are encouraged to join. Fitness evaluation is required prior to participation.

There is currently no cure for Parkinson’s and exercise is the #1 recommended treatment! The Maryland Association for Parkinson Disease, Inc. (MAPS) believes Parkinson’s is hard enough to live with and those with Parkinson’s shouldn’t have to pay for exercise. MAPS partners with local fitness centers, like the Myerberg, to provide fitness classes at no cost to those diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.
